Google's Gemini 4 Argon is out; Carbon is announced

Gemini 4 Argon is in the Gemini app for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. The stronger Gemini 4 Carbon is limited to vetted cyber defenders for now.

Google says Argon is built for deep, multi-step work in coding, finance, legal and science. Carbon, announced on 28 Oct, focuses on cybersecurity and long tasks; Google is releasing it slowly and has not given a date for general access. Developers pay an introductory API price for Argon until 30 Nov 2026.
