BNM and the SC warn of deepfakes of their senior officers

Bank Negara Malaysia shows examples at bnm.gov.my/verify and asks the public to check its Financial Consumer Alert List and the SC's Investor Alert List. In September, Johor police reported a company administrator who transferred RM110,000 after a caller posing as her director gave payment instructions; police were checking whether his voice was cloned.
