Recipe 2: Board pack to briefing deck
Turn a stack of reports into a ten-slide briefing with sources, then make the AI play your toughest director.
You need: a Google account (Gemini Notebook) or a paid Claude plan. Use non-confidential documents while you learn. About 25 minutes.
- Open Gemini Notebook and create a notebook, or start a Claude conversation.
- Upload three to five source documents (reports, minutes, a spreadsheet).
- Ask: "Create a slide deck for a board briefing. Executive summary first, then performance, risks and decisions needed."
- In Gemini Notebook turn on Review and edit the outline before it renders. In Claude, ask for the outline first.
- Generate the deck and download it.
- Then ask:
Act as the most sceptical director on our board. List the five
questions you would ask about this deck and which slide fails to
answer each. Cite the source document for every claim.Level up: ask for a one-page pre-read in the same style.
