Recipe 4: Enquiry triage on autopilot
Every new enquiry is read by AI, sorted, logged in a sheet and given a draft reply for a human to approve.
You need: a Make account (n8n or Zapier work too), a test email inbox or form, and a Google Sheet. About 30 minutes.
- In Make, create a scenario. Trigger: new email in your test inbox (or a new form submission).
- Add an AI agent step with this instruction:
Read the enquiry. Return: category (sales, support, partnership,
spam), urgency (high, medium, low), a one-line summary, and a polite
draft reply in the same language as the sender. If unsure, say so.- Add a Google Sheets step that appends a row with those fields.
- Add a step that saves the draft reply to your drafts folder. Do not auto-send.
- Send yourself five test emails, including one in Malay and one spam.
- Check the sheet and the drafts, then tighten the instruction.
Why this pattern works: Make recommends AI agents for messy, judgement-based inputs like support triage and lead qualification, and plain automation for the predictable steps around them.
